Our Holiday Toys Giveaway at the Elks Lodge in Pittsburg was a wonderful time, made possible by God’s provision and His presence, and the love and support of so many amazing people. We are extremely thankful for our family and friends including the incredible Willow Cove staff and parent volunteers, Pittsburg High School student volunteers, as well as Toys for Tots, Pijja Paradise, Stephanie’s Sweets, The Bubble Hive, and the Elks Lodge staff.
A special thank you to Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston, Council Member Arlene Kobata, Community Advisor Sonja Shepherd, and the Pittsburg Police Department for their participation and continued support of Pittsburg families. We are truly grateful to everyone who helped make this event so joyful!
Life Skills Workshop
Fay Hope Association was honored to host a complimentary Life Skills Workshop at Saturday Academy 2/7/26 for a group of 5th grade students.
Although the workshop was scheduled for one hour, the students were so engaged and enthusiastic that even 90 minutes wasn’t enough. They eagerly asked if the next session could be extended to two hours, which speaks volumes about their interest and enjoyment.
During the workshop, students developed essential life skills, including self-confidence, public speaking, empathy, and active listening. In just one hour, many students showed noticeable growth—volunteering to speak, sharing ideas openly, and supporting one another in a safe and encouraging space.
Fay Hope Association hosted a Workshop this morning at
Chick-fil-A focusing on the importance of punctuality and Teamwork. Students worked in two groups, discussed the benefits of these life skills, and presented their ideas to each other.
We thank our partners at Chick-fil-A for welcoming us, providing food, and letting the students make their own ice cream cones.
A special thank you to Daniel Altamirano the Executive Director of Chick-fil-A for speaking to the students about the importance of education and community. Together, Fay Hope Association and Chick-fil-A are working to build a brighter future for our students.
